To start a business, It is essential to have a Food license for every Food Business Operators (FBOs). In India, there is Food Licence Authority called The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). If a Food Busines Operator requires a Food License (FSSAI License), he can apply directly on the website of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) or he can consult with Food License agent in their city. Who is the FSSAI License Consultant?
A FSSAI License Consultant is an FSSAI agent or consultant who may help FBO in getting a Food License without any hassles. He will consult you, direct you and help you in documentation process of getting an FSSAI Licence.
The procedure for obtaining a license:
1. Application for License shall be made in FORM B to the concerned central licensing authority or the state licensing authority, based on the eligibility criteria for the food business..(See – Regulation 2.1.2, Regulation 2.1.3 and Regulation2.1.7 of FSS ACT/RULES®ULATIONS)
2. The application shall be accompanied by a self attested declaration in the specified format declaring that he conforms/shall conform to the Food Safety and Standards Act,Regulations/Bye Laws and shall follow the guidelines on Hygiene and Sanitary Practices provided under Schedule – 4 of the Registration and Licensing Regulations, along with the requisite documents and requisite license fee.
3. The FSSAI Authorities will inspect your the food business.
4. The license shall be issued by the concerned licensing authority within a period of 60 days.
5. After the 60 days of submission of the application, The FBO has not received any intimation in this regard the applicant may commence his food business without waiting for further communication.

Copy of
- Aadhaar Card/ Voter identity card of Proprietor/Partners/Director
- Property papers (If owned property)
- Rent agreement (If rented property)
- Partnership Deed (In case of Partnership)
- Declaration form.
- Authority letter with name and address of responsible person
- Electricity / Water /Telephone / Mobile bill of business place
- Form IX: Nomination of Persons by a Company along with the Board Resolution
- Food Safety Management System plan or certificate
- MOA/AOA (In case of company)

- Blueprint/layout plan of the processing unit
- Upload Production unit photograph
- Details of all Equipment and Machinery
- List of food category desired to be manufactured
